Sporty Speke

Children play badminton in the Moat Garden at Speke Hall

Whether you want to try out something new or beat your best time, Speke Hall is the perfect place to enjoy sport. Why pound the treadmill when you could be running along the coastal reserve path or exploring the grounds and woodland on two wheels?

We're working with lots of brilliant partners and organisations across Merseyside to take advantage of our great outdoor space and offer all sorts of sporting activities for you to try out. Some activities are free and others have a small cost. Normal grounds admission price applies (free to NT members), so please check out our prices prior to visit.

Why not take advantage of our new outdoor activities membership offer and discover more about our outdoor activities by becoming a National Trust member today? There's a free sports incentive when you sign up - please ask our reception team about this on arrival.

Try Something New

You can now take part in a whole range of sports here, from have-a-go archery sessions to more organised cycling rides and running sessions.

Get the map out!

Orienteering is a great way to test your problem solving and map reading skills while enjoying a good walk around the grounds. We’ve got a wide range of orienteering trails available for both beginners and novices. Maps are available free of charge from Speke Hall reception.

Stretch your legs

If you like to get around by foot then why not try one of our downloadable walking routes? These can be taken at a faster pace by runners but we do also have 3,2,1 running route markers throughout the grounds if you want to build up your stamina.
