Come Out and Play at Springhill

Explore the outdoors at one of our great natural play areas

Planning some family time with the kids this summer and not quite sure what to do? At Springhill we've got summer sorted.

Come out and Play

Family fun and games is the order of the day this summer at Springhill. Experience the great outdoors, learn new skills and take in that fresh air with an adrenaline-filled calendar of sporting activities to keep the kids entertained over the school holidays.

Have a go at the bootcamp spinner to see what sporting challenge you must complete and see if you can hit the bean bag target. Little ones can have a go on the hobby horses and sack races in the Costume Museum area.

Garden Tours with Adam

Join us on a tour around the stunning gardens here at Springhill. As we get into summer, the gardens are full of bold bright colours, waiting to be discovered around every corner. Be guided around the gardens we have at Springhill by Adam our Gardener, who will take you through both the history behind the gardens as well as going into detail about the sights, sounds and smells on offer.

These tours are completely free, although normal admission applies. Just ask at our Visitor Reception for all the details.

Balance Bikes

Cycling is an important life skill and a healthy way to explore outdoors. At Springhill, we've got the perfect training ground for little ones who have not yet found their wheels.

You don’t need to book  the balance bikes as they will be given out on a first come first served basis, and are free to use - just turn up and get going!

Pack a Picnic

Why not give al fresco dinning a try this summer at Springhill. We have picnic benches across the ground and lawns aplenty for you to throw down a picnic blanket. And with the with Bean at Springhill in the Barn serving light bites, drinks and ice cream, you don't even need to worry about packing the cool bag, you just have to come along and we'll do the rest.

Follow the Countryside Code

With more people than ever enjoying our coast and countryside places, we’re asking for your help in looking after them during your visit. Please help us protect wildlife and landscapes by following the Countryside Code, which includes taking any litter home with you and not lighting a barbecue or campfire.
