Special house tours

By special arrangement, we can provide a guided tour of the house at 10am for a maximum of 40 people.

There is a charge of £12 per person and a minimum charge £250. Tours must be booked in advance, giving as much notice as possible.  The last tour of the day is at 4.30pm.

Garden tours

Pre-booked garden tours are available, highlighting our Arts and Crafts inspired garden, the exciting work of our five year garden restoration project and the historic plant collection created by Margaret Beale between 1891 and 1910. There is an additional charge of £2.50 per person for a garden tour.

Rest and refuel

Our Barn Café is licensed and serves tasty, seasonal treats for coffee, lunch (hot food, 12–2.30pm) and afternoon tea. On busier days it may be necessary to split you into smaller groups to avoid queuing.

Our shop offers a range of gifts and souvenirs inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, and a seasonal plant sales area.

Groups of more than 15 qualify for a free gift if £25 or more is spent in a single transaction.
