Live Music Fridays at Sticklebarn
Experience live acoustics from local musicians and unwind after a day on the fells with a drink on the terrace at Sticklebarn at one of our Live Music Friday events. Schedule and bands below:
20 July & 10 August – Harvey Brittain 9-11pm
Harvey Brittain is a jazz/pop pianist and vocalist. Having learnt to play the piano when he was seven, he developed a passion for playing music and has since been inspired by the likes of Jamie Cullum. Harvey currently plays with his jazz-pop band, as well as performing with Lancashire Student’s Jazz Orchestra.
27 July – Dry Stone Wailers 9-11pm
Lift your spirits on an evening with one of Sheffield’s finest – The Dry Stone Wailers – perfect for those who like anything from Jonny Cash to folk music.
3 August – Kev Kendal 9-11pm
Join the former front man of mod covers band ‘Sound’ for a night of his own brand of acoustic music. Kev Kendal hung up his microphone in 2007 before relaunching himself five years later as a singer-songwriter. He’s since supported Britpop legends Dodgy and played at several major festivals including Solfest.
17 & 31 August – Pete Lashley 9-11pm
Pete’s songs are often inspired by the beauty of the Lakeland landscape and are played with the music of a guitar or a ukulele. He performs many of his own songs but also loves to put his own passion and unique twist into cover material.
24 August – Scrogans Run (Duo) 9-11pm
This Kendal based duo - Wayne Scurrah and Paddy Rogan - is a blend of banjo, guitars and vocal harmonies. They mix traditional influences with their own original bluegrass and folk inspired style. Their character, melody and rhythm make it hard not to dance the night away, but it’s equally good to listen from the sides.
The live music is free to watch and will take place on the terrace when the weather’s nice or in the Hayloft if it’s raining.
