Live music sessions at Sticklebarn
Experience live acoustics from local musicians and unwind after a day on the fells with a drink on the terrace at Sticklebarn at one of our live music events.
Thursday 20 September - Martin Simpson 8-11pm
An acoustic and slide guitar player and a fine banjo-picker, Martin Simpson captivates and deeply moves his audiences. Martin is a great storyteller, both interpreting his material from tradition and also singing his own powerful songs.
He wrote 'Never any good' from Prodigal Son, 2007's Folk Album of the Year and has had the most nominations of any performer in the 18 years of the BBC Radio 2 Folk awards - being nominated 32 times, 13 of which were as Musician of the Year, winning that twice.
He travels the UK and beyond, giving audiences passion, sorrow, love, beauty and majesty through his playing.
