Not only do we offer core and seasonal workshops at Sutton House, we can also work with you and your curriculum aims to develop a special workshop.
The Sutton House learning team are always keen to work directly with teachers and develop workshops suited to your needs. We have so many stories to draw inspiration from, and our skilled team can probably put their hand to anything.
This year we developed storytelling workshops based on dragons for nursery students, we created a Tudor Feast for a group of year 4's, and adapted our core workshops to meet the teachers objectives.

We can cater for one class up to 30 Students at a time.
Flexible times and workshops usually last between 1 and 2 hours.
No bus parking on site, the nearest station is Hackney Central and buses stop nearby.
Lunch can be eaten on site, and children can play in the Breaker's Yard during their break.

With National Trust Educational Group Membership you can use Sutton House for several different functions. Our members have performed, held meetings and sat exams all in the Sutton House historic walls.
Sutton House, in partnership with School Home Support, has worked with local families in short-term family learning programmes since 2010. We are keen to increase our partnership and are pleased to offer out more family learning opportunities for academic year 2017/18.
Originally built by Sir Ralph Sadlier, a courtier to King Henry VIII, Sutton House has Tudor Workshops available for KS1 and KS2 pupils.
Sutton House and Breaker's Yard is the perfect place to bring you class for a behavioural reward, or you can bring them to a workshop or a self-led experience.
Education group membership is specially designed to allow education groups free entry to most places owned by the National Trust. It is for not-for-profit groups or home educators whose members, pupils or students are in full-time education.
Come and explore the history of toys by getting to play with them yourself! This is a fun, dynamic workshop that allows the children to get really hands-on and experience the way children played in the past.
