Toys Workshop at Sutton House

Child making a puppet

Come and explore the history of toys by getting to play with them yourself!

This is a fun, dynamic workshop that allows the children to get really hands-on and experience the way children played in the past.

In this very interactive workshop, children get the chance to play with and compare five different sets of Tudor and Victorian toys, looking at how they have changed as technology has developed and considering where the toys we have today have developed from. The session ends with a craft session as children will all make their own peg-dolly to take back to school.
