Corinne Frost plays Elgar

Sunday 5 November 11:30 to 12:30

Corinne Frost, professional cellist and Musical Director of Volante Strings, is coming to play a selection of Elgar pieces and other English music around the Birthplace.

Elgar and others - A selection of live music at the Firs

Friday 20th October 2017 from 11:15 to 12:00 and 12:15 to 13:00

Friday 24th November 2017 from 11:15 to 12:00 and 12:15 to 13:00

Jennie Jone and Josie Bedford-Davies, members of Volante Strings will play a selection of Elgar compositions with a variety of other pieces .  Their aim is to enjoy playing and to share their enthusiasm for string music with their audiences.

They will be playing:

Elgar;  Idylle, Pastourelle, Salut D'amour, Chanson de Matin, 6 easy pieces, Sospiri.

William Henry Reed - Green Willow, Ireland - Bagatelle, Carse - Minuet, Vaughan Williams - Greensleeves

Men of Harlech, Londonderry Air, Scotland the brave.

Lloyd webber - Memory, Any Dream will do, Lionel Bart - As long as He Needs me, Holst - Jupiter, Elgar- Nimrod.

Feed the Birds craft

Saturday the 21 October to Sunday 29 October 11am to 4pm every day.

Feed the birds, tuppence a bag’ or why not create your very own bird feeder. Using apples from our trees make your own feeder and keep the birds happy and fed all year long. For all ages

Prices: £1.50 per bird feeder (normal admission to property applies)

Great Apple Bob

Saturday the 21October to Sunday 29 October 11am to 4pm every day.

Search for the apple bobbing baskets and net yourself the special apple to spell out the secret word.  For all ages.

Hanging Sheet music shapes craft

Saturday 2, Sunday 3 , Saturday 9 , Sunday 10, and Saturday 16  to the Saturday 23 December 11am to 4pm

Tune up your tree with some traditional hanging decorations made from sheet music. Choose from a selection of designs for all abilities and all ages.
