The bird hide at The Weir Garden
Reconnect with nature this summer as you loose an hour or two watching the birds here at The Weir Garden.
Thanks to a very generous legacy donation from a local family, we have been able to build a bird hide here at The Weir Garden.
The hide is situated on a high piece of ground, overlooking the river, the perfect location for quietly sitting and waiting for nature to come to you.
The garden itself is a haven for different bird varieties; we leave sections of the garden wild for our visiting birdlife ensuring there is a constant supply of food and sanctuary for these gentle creatures.
We have a large list of birds that have been spotted here at The Weir Garden from visiting songbirds, water fowl and more unusual species such as the green woodpecker.
The garden team have also created a fernery around the back of the hide which will help blend the hide into the garden.
Caring for these special places is a huge responsibility. If The Weir Garden or another National Trust place is important to you, you help our cause by remembering the National Trust in your will and help us keep these special places safe, forever.
