Eating and shopping at Tintagel Old Post Office

Shopping at Tintagel Old Post Office, Cornwall

The postroom has been used for many businesses over the years: it was a greengrocer's, dressmaker's, draper's and a cobbler's. Today it is furnished as the letter receiving-office that served the village in the 1870s and doubles up as a small gift shop.

We have a range of local Cornish products available and souvenirs of your visit to the Old Post Office. All proceeds from the shop help with the maintenance of the house.

Enjoy lunch al-fresco

There are a wide variety of pubs and tea-rooms in Tintagel. Why not treat yourself to a pasty or ice cream from the village and enjoy it in our tranquil cottage garden? Normal admission charges apply, but this is free for National Trust members.

Take home a reminder of your visit

We sell a wide range of gifts and souvenirs featuring images of the house and its iconic wavy roof. Take home a memento of your visit, something sweet for those car journeys around Cornwall or a local guide to keep in the glovebox.
