Schools & Learning

Work like a Victorian servant or hunt for plants in the historic gardens. Tyntesfield provides first-hand experiences that cannot be recreated in the classroom. It is an opportunity to engage your pupils with real objects, real stories, real people and real environments.

New for September 2018

Nineteenth century literature trail
This brand new offer creates an immersive experience for GCSE students. Utilising key texts from across all the GCSE exam boards, this trail encourages students to analyse texts closely and to discuss how the contexts in which the texts were written have shaped the content of the texts. Admission to Tyntesfield and access to this resource is free for schools with Education Group Membership (EGM).

Iron age loan box
If you would prefer to lead a school trip to Stokeleigh camp yourself, rather than taking part in our facilitated Iron Age session, then you borrow are Iron Age Loan Box which is full of resources and worksheets to support students learning about Iron Age life in their local hill fort, Stokeleigh camp. This resource is free to borrow with a valid Education Group Membership.

Big friend; little friend session
This brand new facilitated session offers teachers the opportunity to bring together the infant and junior classes in your school. Two year groups will work together on a variety of woodland activities. This is the perfect way to boost your youngest students’ confidence, whilst developing your older students’ mentoring skills.
