Eating in Uppark's Café this Christmas

Don't miss out on the tasty festive treats our café has to offer this winter. Whether you've been out for a walk or visiting the house, warm up with a selection of festive treats. The café opens from 10am daily and serves hot food until 3pm.

Situated in the East Pavilion, once used as the kitchens to the main house and then later an orangery (greenhouse), the cafe offers delicious food and drinks alongside stunning views over the South Downs.

We take great pride in our menu, each day producing a variety of homemade cakes, soups, sandwiches and light meals for you to enjoy.

Breakfast treats

If you're an early bird who likes to catch the worm, then our breakfast offer may be just the ticket. Served every day from 10am - 11.45am, there's tasty treats like the 'Big Breakfast' roll or scrummy toast and marmalade. There's also a selection of freshly brewed coffee and speciality tea to really get the day started.

Seasonal Selections

We’ve added delicious new items to our menu this winter. Bring all the family to enjoy Uppark’s own Christmas Dinner, featuring turkey breast, bacon wrapped stuffing and all the usual trimmings. If you’ve got room for pudding the spiced pear and ginger crumble, served with lashings of custard, might just be for you!

Locality and seasonality

Using fresh, locally sourced, produce is very important to us. That's why we often use the fruits and vegetables grown in our own garden and from our neighbouring property, Hinton Ampner.

To capture and celebrate these ingredients at their best, the menu changes on a regular basis; meaning there'll be something new for you to try on your next visit.

Children's choices

Children can select from our pick 'n' mix packed lunches. There are highchairs available and a microwave to warm bottles and baby food.

You're helping with every bite.

Every penny spent in our café goes straight back to Uppark to help with vital conservation work. Last year our visitors bought over seven thousand scones and drank eight thousand cups of tea, all helping us look after Uppark for future generations to enjoy.
