Plants from Upton's Gardens

If you like what you see growing in the gardens why not pick up a plant to take home and cherish. The plant centre has lots of the same varieties we grown in the gardens; Wallflowers, Lupins, Delphiniums, Salvias and dahlias, not forgetting the Asters on display in September.

You’ll find something for your garden at Upton Stores. From range of culinary herbs and lavenders for a small window box to a variety of shrubs and perennials which change with the seasons.

Set off your garden display with one of our animal sulptures sourced from international co- operative businesses, they also make great gifts.

Locally produced cooking and dipping oils

Brand new to Upton Shop this summer is a fantastic range of locally made Rapeseed oil. The cold pressed rapeseed oil has a gentle nutty flavour and is a healthy, tasty and versatile oil for dipping and cooking.

The Granary Oil Company is a family run farm situated at the tip of South Warwickshire, bordering with the Cotswolds. The farm comprises mostly grassland, on which they run 300 breeding ewes along with a small flock of Cotswolds. As well as sheep they produce specialist hay crops. They have extensive orchards containing a mixture of apple, pear, plums and slowly maturing Walnut trees. The farm is owned and run by the Tame family who are now into their fourth generation on the farm.

Make do and mend

As clothing was rationed throughout the war, women had to be increasingly creative with their old dresses and blouses to liven up their wardrobe. Start your own wardrobe make over with a clothing ration sewing kit, tape measure, pins or buttons in a tin, all finished with authentic designs of the period.

We also have a selection of red, cream or blue rag rug kits, for cushions or lavender bags. Perfect for a little vintage flare around your home.
