Colour the mind: LIVE with DJ PUN1T - Free event

Join DJ, producer and journalist DJ PUN1T on a journey into South Asian Heritage at Colour the Mind: LIVE, as for the first time Wightwick Manor’s outdoor courtyard is transformed by light, colour and South Asian beats.

  • Free event

Colour the Mind: LIVE is a National Trust celebration and heritage project which came out of South Asian Heritage Month; the event commemorates and celebrates South Asian cultures, histories, and communities and for 2024 the unifying theme is ‘free to be me.’ Collaborating with DJ PUN1T, this vibrant event promises to educate, entertain, and inspire:

Music: DJ PUN1T brings his unique musical style to Wightwick, transforming the courtyard into a dancefloor guaranteed to get you moving! His eclectic musical mixtape, includes modern urban Asian beats, spanning hip-hop, R&B and rap to more classical sounds and instrumentals rooted in ancient tradition.

Before Punit’s headline DJ set, join us for a special set by internationally acclaimed female DJ, Parv Kaur, bringing the best Bhangra and English mash ups! Parv brings explosive energy behind (and infront of!) the decks, and – in collaboration with Sampad Arts - featured dance artists will light up the dance floor, performing at moments throughout.

Panel Talks: DJ PUN1T in conversation with National Trust on South Asian history inside the beautiful Great Parlour. DJ PUN1T chose a selection of items with South Asian historical and cultural links, each with their own story to tell.

Food: Fusing one of the UKs favourite dishes with tantalising Indian flavours, street food chefs Cheeky Maharaja will be serving up masala fish and chips.

Please note that there will be a photographer at the event.
