Apple Harvest Celebrations
Find us in the orchard to discover our heritage apple varieties, buy some apples, try some samples, play some games and learn how we grow twelve different apple varieties on one tree!
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Get ready to celebrate harvest season and join us on for our annual apple harvest on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September, 11am - 4pm each day.
Most of the apple varieties in our historic orchards were popular in the late 18th and early 19th-centuries and would have been used by the Mander’s cook to create seasonal favourites. There are not only eating apples, you can find cooking and cider apples too.
Our garden team will be on hand to help you choose some varieties of apples to buy and take home.
Families can have a go at some traditional games or try your luck on our ever-popular Human Fruit Machine.
No booking required, normal admission costs apply, small charge for some activities - please note this event is cash only.
