We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Come and spot ten life-sized bear sculptures around the gardens at Anglesey Abbey this winter.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

We are excited to host Wild in Art’s Bear Hunt trail at Anglesey Abbey from 19 November 2024 to 5 January 2025. Pick up a free trail map and see if you can find all of the beautifully decorated bear sculptures creatively exhibited around the gardens. Each bear has been uniquely painted by ten different national and international artists.

Inspired by the beloved children’s story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, prepare for an enchanting journey through art and adventure. This timeless classic, published by Walker Books, is all set to come alive in the gardens at Anglesey Abbey. Along the trail, there will be interactive stations with grrr-eat games and challenges for children to have a go at.

Suitable for all ages; enjoy splish-sploshing and tiptoeing through the woods, gardens and grass in search of the uniquely designed bear sculptures. The trail will be open to visitors until 5 January 2024, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The trail is free, but normal admission applies.

The Bear Hunt trail forms part of our new festive programme of events for this year’s Christmas season. More information to follow soon...
