Volunteer Taster Sessions

Have you ever thought about volunteering at Peckover House & Garden? Our garden team and our house & collections team are hosting a series of taster sessions this autumn.

  • Booking essential
  • Free event

The Peckover team are holding a series of taster sessions for people who are interested in joining us as a volunteer.

Do you have an interest in gardening, spending more time outside in the fresh air, and looking after an historic garden? If this sounds like you, our lead Gardener Louise would like to invite you to join a garden volunteer taster session at Peckover to meet the team, participate in a few practical tasks and have a cup of tea or coffee and an informal chat.

If outdoors isn’t really for you, perhaps you would like to be part of a team that cares for our beautiful house and historic collection? Our conservation volunteers help look after, check, and document our wonderful collection, as well as playing an important part in maintaining our presentation standards. Our Collections and House Officer Deb Gunnill would like to invite you to a taster session to come along and meet the house team. You will get the chance to join in with some of our regular tasks and see what it is like working behind the scenes. You’ll also be able to ask questions about what the role entails too.

Please be aware that garden and house sessions are on set days and times as listed below, so please do make sure you book the right one.
