National Walking Month: Life on the Edge walk
Join Sam Skevington from Life of the Edge project on a guided walk looking at the invertebrates that live along the coast path.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Walk with Sam and learn about the incredible invertebrates that live along the coast path and the challenges they are facing.
Walkers have the option for two walks: A short route that takes in the Day Mark and Froward point (partially accessible to the Day Mark). This walk would take approx. 1hr and is suitable for families. Please be aware there are steep slopes from the Day Mark down to Froward Point.
For those who wish to continue on a more challenging section, the guided walk will follow the coast path from Froward Point to Coleton Fishacre in search of Long-Horned Bees. This section of the walk is on uneven ground and has some steep sections and cliff edges, suitable for older children and intermediate walkers. Full walk is expected to take 3hrs.
Please note there are no toilet facilities available.
