Join Area Ranger, Steve, for a walk around Side Downs and Brookhill, talking about woodland management and sustainable timber production across the estate’s 1200 acres of woodland.

See areas of recent management and hear about upcoming future work to ensure this special place delivers for nature conservation and timber production for the future generations to enjoy.

The walk will be on a mixture of surfaced and unsurfaced tracks.

Children accompanied by an adult welcome.

Well-behaved dogs welcome on leads.

Parking in the timber loading area at Side Downs, Ashclyst Forest.

This walk is approximately 2 miles/2 hours.

Terrain: easy terrain with good surfaces.

This walk is free of charge but booking is essential.

A National Trust membership is not needed to take part in this walk.
