Tracing the past at Knightshayes with Findmypast

Explore the wartime hospital at Knightshayes in a new exhibition with Findmypast.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

In collaboration with family history website Findmypast, we've been exploring the 1921 Census of England and Wales. It's helped us get closer to the lives of people at Knightshayes, where we've been able to trace the lives of soldiers and staff who came here, to be treated or to work, during the First World War when it was turned into a hospital. The exhibition tells the story of what happened to these individuals after they left Knightshayes.

The exhibition is in the House and will be displayed during house opening hours until 14th April.
