Conservation in Action: Winter house tours

Ever wondered what it takes to care for Kingston Lacy? Learn more about the conservation work that goes into looking after this beautiful place on a special guided tour.

  • Booking advisable
  • Free event (admission applies)

Join us on a special guided tour and go behind the scenes to see the extraordinary work that's being done to look after Kingston Lacy for future generations. This November and January, peer behind doors that are usually closed, find out about the things that threaten our collections and how the conservation team protect and deep clean the rooms and items within them. There will be nine tours every day, two of which are bookable in advance on our website. Tickets for the other tours are available to pick up on arrival at Visitor Reception on a first-come-first-served basis. Free event, admission applies. Please be aware that during this period many objects of the collection are covered to help protect them from dust and light damage.
