Easter egg hunt at Mottistone Gardens

25 March - 14 April. Join Red Squirrel in a hunt around Mottistone Gardens to find the 'Signs of Spring', as she gets ready to wake her hibernating friends this Easter.

  • Booking not needed
  • Admission applies

‘Red Squirrel’ and her hibernating friends, have been sleeping soundly all winter. Now though ‘Signs of Spring’ are starting to appear across the gardens, and we need visitors to help Red discover and collect all the ‘Signs’ so she can work out if it is time for her friends to wake and celebrate the start of a new year.

Along the trail, little visitors will be able to complete ten activities - try leaping like a frog on tree rings and build a nest in the willow maze - and collect a bespoke, lino cut stamp at each point, featuring a ‘Sign of Spring', such as bluebells ringing and buzzards dancing in the sky. Finally, join the silent disco within the cascading branches of a lime tree, where Red will celebrate spring's arrival with her newly awakened hibernating friends.

Normal admission applies plus £3 per trail, which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.

*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.
