Join volunteer Andrew Etherington and James Macmillan-Scott for a behind-the-scenes look as they work to restore a model of Sissinghurst Castle in the Tudor era, originally crafted in the 1970s.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Join volunteer Andrew Etherington and James Macmillan-Scott for a behind-the-scenes look as they work to restore a model of Sissinghurst Castle Garden.

Originally crafted by James in the 1970s, this miniature replica was designed to depict what the original Tudor mansion and surrounding garden might have looked like during Queen Elizabeth I’s visit in 1573.

Whether you're interested in model making, heritage conservation, or the rich history of the gardens, there’s plenty to learn during these drop in sessions.

Please note: There may be days when either Andrew or James aren't working on the model. They may also step away for short breaks such as for lunch.
