This spring, treat the whole family to an outdoor adventure at Canons Ashby on our Easter trail.

  • Booking not needed
  • Admission applies

This spring, treat the whole family to an outdoor adventure at Canons Ashby on an Easter nature trail. Spot wildlife from our nature hide, sniff the Smelly Wellies, and plant some wildflower seeds!

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place between 23 March and 14 April, from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 4pm, so come along and explore the beautiful natural green spaces of Canons Ashby.

The price of the trail is £3 per child (and normal admission prices apply) and includes a trail map, pencil and a special treat at the end.

There is no extra charge for parking at Canons Ashby.

The basics

This event is aimed at families

Meeting point

Start your Easter day out at Visitor Reception in the car park. They will be able to direct you.

What to bring and wear

Dress for the weather and for countryside ground surfaces. This is outdoors.

This event is outdoors in our gardens and grounds. There are uneven ground surfaces and a couple of steps. If you have concerns about your access needs please send us an email on

There is no extra charge for parking for our visitors. We have limited Easter Eggs for the whole Easter period, and cannot predict how busy we will be. Our car park is small, and whilst we will try hard to fit everyone in, we cannot guarantee that there will be space. We suggest visiting first thing, or after 2.30pm, to avoid the busiest period. Canons Ashby will close at 5pm. If you are not coming for the Easter Egg Trail, and you would prefer a quieter time, we recommend visiting on a different day. For visitors with allergies there are limited free-from chocolate prizes, with allergies available to read and check.
