Get set for festive cheer aplenty! Step inside our seventeenth-century Garden Room and Dairy, transformed into an enchanting Christmas grotto for the first time this December, to meet Father Christmas and tell him what’s on your wish list for the big day. Capture the moment with a photo and receive a gift to take home as a memento of your visit.
Our Father Christmas event will run during the first two weekends in December (Sat 2 and Sun 3; Sat 9 and Sun 10) and then each day from Saturday 16 December to Saturday 23 December 2023.

To help you plan your festive day out, please also note: Non-National Trust members will need to pay normal admission on arrival at Ham House and Garden, in addition to the pre-paid cost to meet Father Christmas. One ticket required per child, with a maximum of two accompanying adults. We will be operating our winter opening hours during this event so the house is open 12-4 (last entry at 3.30); gardens will close at 4. The café and shop will close at 3.30. There may be a short wait hosted by Father Christmas’s friendly elves during the 15-minute timeslot. Please consider which slot best suits you before booking as tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

This event is accessible to all. If booking for a party of more than 7 children, please book all 7 tickets within a 15 minute time slot and then any further tickets for the following 15 minute slot.

Each ticket holder will experience a meet and greet session with Father Christmas, have the opportunity to take a photo, and receive a special gift to mark the occasion. Please note that the ticket only covers entry to the Father Christmas event. Each ticket includes entry for one child, one gift from Santa, and a maximum of two accompanying adults.
