We’re celebrating all things harvest with Heritage Harvest. See the estate turn from green to golden hues and enjoy garden tours, family crafts, autumnal decorations and beautiful squash displays.
On Heritage Harvest weekends enjoy extra activities for all the family.
Apple family crafts: 11am - 3pm
Make an apple bird feeder to take home using Oxburgh’s windfall apples. Located in a gazebo on the North Terrace. Free activity, no booking necessary.
Harvest garden tours: 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm, 30 - 45 minutes
Tours will include the history of the productive gardens at Oxburgh and how the team care for them today; from winter pruning to disease control and heritage fruit varieties. Free tour, normal admission applies. Bookable on the day at Visitor Welcome. (Garden tours will also be running on Friday 13 and Friday 20 September.)
Help Harvest the Orchard: 11am - 1pm (21 and 22 September only)
Help the garden team pick and pack the apples from Oxburgh’s orchard and find out more about our heritage varieties and orchard management techniques.
This event is hosted as part of the Brecks Outdoor Festival, a two-week celebration of the landscapes and heritage of the Norfolk and Suffolk Brecks. The Brecks Outdoor Festival (7 -22 September) is hosted by the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme with thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
