Howay The Lasses musical collective at Gibside
Celebrate International Women's Day with North East band Howay The Lasses in the historic surroundings of Gibside Chapel.
- Booking essential
Experience the acoustics of Gibside Chapel with Howay The Lasses, as they celebrate the lives of notable women from the North East. Weaving together a tapestry of traditional sounds and musical landscapes, each musician brings their unique style to the band, to elevate the accomplishments of these women.
Listen to original songs and arrangements by candlelight, to a performance that will be a treat for music lovers and history buffs alike. Be moved by the story of Gibside’s famous resident, Mary Eleanor Bowes, live in a venue that she would have known. We encourage you to make a night of it and come along for food and drinks before the concert. The Pizza Pit and café will be open, serving freshly made pizza, cakes and more.
