- Booking not needed
- Free event
Come and watch former members of the Teesside Youth Theatre come together for their rehearsed reading, which explores their fond memories of being part of the innovative young people’s theatre which ran throughout the 1970’s. This rehearsed reading, featuring recollections of the members, excerpts from their most favourite performances ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘Playgoers’, combined with Ruth’s and Theatre member’s poetry and shared memories. The Youth Theatre was an amazing opportunity for local kids to get involved with theatre in a way that was accepting and nourishing of young talent. This environment enabled many of its members to go on to work in performing arts, media and education. Ormesby Hall’s Ruth Pennyman, who was known for her support for both theatre and young people, welcomed and supported them.
