On Saturday 22 February at 11:00am - 1:00pm, join Dr Kirstin Lemon from the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland and watch her demonstrate some of the powerful, natural forces that formed the world-famous Causeway stones 60 million years ago and discover how volcanoes work with a LIVE experiment!

Dr Kirstin Lemon is the leader of the Information and Infrastructure Team at the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland and has a specific role in helping the public to understand the amazing diversity of rocks and landscapes that Northern Ireland has. Kirstin is also part of the Communications for the British Geological Survey and plays an active role in internal communications and in-science writing.

National Trust Members and Local Pass Holders gain free access. Online booking is strongly recommended in advance. This is a free event; normal admission charges apply.

Ticket price includes the full Visitor Experience; access to guided tours with our award-winning storytelling team, use of hand-held audio guides, access to exhibition and interpretation areas, the shop and café, use of all facilities, including the loan of accessibility equipment and reserved on-site parking.
