Using ropes and harnesses, ascend into the canopy of one of Belton Estate’s largest trees with The Great Big Tree Climbing Company, and enjoy an exhilarating adventure at new heights.
During your climb, you will learn how to safely reach the top of the giant tree and take in the views of the estate. You can hang out in the canopy or venture further out onto the branches if you're feeling brave, before returning safely to the ground.
This activity is suitable for ages 6 to 100, and each session is run for up to 8 people, creating a unique and intimate experience. Each sessions lasts an hour.
Every climber needs a ticket.

- Meeting point
Please arrive at Belton 20 minutes before your timeslot. You’ll be climbing one of the trees in the gardens. Speak to the team on arrival for directions.
- What to bring and wear
You'll be scaling a tree in a harness, so please dress appropriately for the activity. Trousers and sturdy shoes, as well as warm clothes if the weather is chilly are required.
- Accessibility
Our climbing technique does require you to have a reasonable level of strength in your lower and upper body. The majority of work is done with your legs, but participants are required to be active and healthy. We are able to help children who struggle but adults who are unable to carry out the technique can’t be pulled up by our instructors.
