Learn how to identify common trees and find out why they are so important in an urban environment, while on a guided walk at Londonthorpe Woods. A family friendly and accessible route, where you'll learn about the woodland and it's hidden history.

The aim of this walk is to help you identify some of the common species found in the wood, along with some interesting facts and some of the more unusual trees. All trees have clues and features that can help with identification - you just need to know what to look out for.

Starting at Londonthorpe Woods Car Park, we will take a 3km route through Londonthorpe Woods up to Alma Woods, before returning to the car park.

The National Trust and the Woodland Trust, supported by National Lottery Players through the National Lottery Heritage Fund, are working together to reconnect Grantham to its historic landscape.
