This year we are Opening our doors to the National Saturday Club and are inviting young people aged 13-16 to join us for an exciting programme Filled with Heritage Skills and focussing on a Sustainable future! All Students attend FREE. The club runs on Saturdays for 20 weeks, approximately 4 weeks per term.
Saturday Club Members will spend time at the National Trust Heritage & Rural Skills Centre developing skills with experienced craftspeople, building awareness of endangered skills, and empowering young people with the knowledge to protect our cultural heritage.
Heritage Crafts: • Blacksmithing • Decorative Wood carving • Stained Glass window making • Introduction to Lime plaster • Coppicing • Green wood Carving
Other Highlights: • Visit Chastleton House seeing heritage skills throughout history • Explore Coleshill’s Secret History Inc. Grounds out Coleshill House • Hands on experience working in Coleshill Parkland • Trips with The National Saturday Club • Summer show exhibiting all Clubs work in Somerset house London
Our club will run for 20 weeks and be on site at the National Trust Heritage & Rural Skills Centre in Coleshill Oxfordshire.
Students will be taught by a range of Highly skilled Tutors, who are practicing craftspeople, and supported each week by National Trust Volunteers and Children & Young People Lead. This is a chance to learn new skills, make new friends and be part of a national network of young creatives through the Saturday Club Trust.

Full information will be provided to successful applicants. The majority of sessions will take place at The Heritage & Rural Skills Centre, Coleshill, Oxfordshire.
- What to bring and wear
Full information will be provided to successful applicants. Any specialist PPE will be provided, most activities will require old clothes that can get messy.
