This year, celebrate the Winter Solstice and listen to traditions and tales of old in the Kitchens of Hardwick Hall during Wintertide.
With a mixture of storytelling and singing throughout the afternoon, please feel free to watch, listen and join in on your visit. Stories will include, St Nicolas, Stargazey Pie, and more! Along with songs such as Kirs Kringle and The Gloucester Wassail.
The storytelling team will be predominately located in the Old Kitchens, this part of the house is towards the end the one-way system through the hall*. Please allow approximately 45 minutes to view the rest of the hall and the Wintertide experience before your visit to the Old Kitchens to ensure that you do not miss out.
*Wheelchairs users are able to see the downstairs Wintertide displays via ramped access through the main entrance. However, the Old Kitchens are only accessible by ramped access through the exit route.
