Join us for a walk through the hills, and through the pages of the stories told about the Peak District. Many folk stories have been passed down, through the centuries of people living in this beautiful landscape. Still more stories have been added by the writers who’ve wandered through this inspiring setting.
Set off from Ilam Park and explore through the hills and valleys listening to the wonderful tales of Peak District life.
The walk will be approximately 5 miles and will include hills. Accompanied children (11+) are welcome.

- Meeting point
Meet at the Welcome Hut in Ilam Park (where you'll also find signs for the Manifold Tea-Room, our second-hand bookshop and toilets).
- What to bring and wear
Wear sturdy shoes and come prepared for the weather, that might be sunhats or raincoats.
- Accessibility
Route involves some slopes and stony paths. There may be cattle in some fields. Please contact the office for an exact route plan.
