Did you know the interiors of Pemberley were filmed at Sudbury in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice?
This summer, explore Pemberley: Behind the Seams – a costume exhibition featuring original outfits from the 1995 series, usually held in the CosProp collection in London.
The exhibition is included with general admission. Donations are welcome and help us look after this special place.
You’ll find original costumes from the series, behind-the-scenes information, and a few extra surprises for fans of the show.
Please note: • The exhibition is closed for lunch from 12:30 to 13:30 (last entry at 12:15). • The visitor route through the Hall will be slightly different while the exhibition is on. Staff will be available to help guide you.

Please check in at Visitor Services and head over to the Hall.

There is ramp access in the Hall and at the entrance to the Hall, as well as a transfer bus to and from the car park. The exhibition is accessible.

FAQ’s Do I need a general admission ticket for the Hall exhibition? Yes you will need to purchase a general admission ticket for the hall entry (free for members). This includes the museum and gardens too. Can I see the entire hall with the general admission ticket? Yes, you will need to enter the hall via the front door and back door to visit all areas. I am unable to walk up stairs can I visit the Hall? Yes, you can visit the ground floor exhibition space through the Hall front door. There are ramps throughout the route for step free access. Mobility scooter users must transfer to a manual wheelchair due to weight load limits of the floor in the hall. Why are you closing the exhibition between 12:30 and 13:30? This is to ensure our team get a lunch break and allows us allocate spaces to volunteers for the afternoon shift.
