Every Saturday morning in December from 9:30 am until 10:15 am the Mansion will be open for SEN (Special Educational Needs) relaxed sessions. These sessions will be quieter and more relaxed, especially designed for visitors on the Autism Spectrum or who have sensory processing difficulties and may find visiting during regular opening hours overwhelming. We ask visitors to please book onto these sessions in advance.
During these relaxed opening times we will have the following resources available to help visitors with their visit:
• Visual Story • Sensory maps • A small handling collection • Sensory bags from visitor reception • Ear Defenders from visitor reception
We understand that your day can change, and you may not be able to make it. If this is the case, please could you let us know by ringing the phoneline on 01743708170

Due to the sensitive nature of the rooms, please do not bring food or drink into the Mansion. Feel free to have a water bottle in your bag but please keep it there while in the Mansion.
Any wheelchair users will be able to access both the Ground Floor and Basement through use of a lift in the Mansion. Please contact us if you are bringing a wheelchair so we can arrange to meet you at the back of the house where there is level access and we can make sure your wheelchair will fit in our small lift.
A couple of the rooms in the Mansion have limited space, and some areas can echo, so some visitors may want to bring their own ear defenders, if required we do have a limited number available to hire out. Please book one ticket for your group. Groups can have a maximum of 6 people.
