The Wey to Waverley Abbey
This thoroughly enjoyable 9k walk is one we're looking forward to!
- Booking essential
From the bizarre meeting place in the middle of the Shepherd and Flock roundabout in Farnham, this walk keeps offering surprises. The various war time relics seem incompatible with the peace and beauty of Waverley Abbey and the wonderful tearoom at Waverley Abbey House. The River Wey gurgles along by your side for most of the walk. Aggressive helicopters dominate the sky for the last section while we walk through a reclaimed tip.
We will stop at the tearoom at Waverley Abbey House (where Florence Nightingale used to spend her summers) for refreshments
