Here at the garden, we have over 500 birch trees, with an eclectic 28 varieties and 11 champion trees across our site. Alongside Senior Gardener Fiona and Gardener Nick, take an exploratory walk through the gardens, looking for seasonal highlights of bark colour and texture. You’ll also explore the history of Sheffield Park & Garden in relation to the planting of birch trees. This will include a global tour from our native European birches to birch trees across the USA, China, Japan, Russia, and the Himalayas.
