Meet Father Christmas on our Tale of Betwixtmass experience
Be greeted by our Christmas elf when you begin your festive adventure with us. Listen as she tells the tale of the magical world of Betwixtmass, then follow an immersive audio trail to see Father Christmas in his cosy woodland home.

Sing merry songs with Father Christmas and snuggle up as he tells you a story then gives a gift to all children. Meet the cheeky snooflet puppets too and watch their puppetry performance. Presented by Spun Glass Theatre you'll unlock an imaginative world and create special festive memories. Children £15, including a gift (children must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult). Normal entrance fee to house/garden applies.

- Meeting point
You'll be directed to Betwixtmass on arrival & greeted by a Christmas elf who'll give you a map of the grounds. Your adventure awaits! (Please bring your own headphones & smart device).
- What to bring and wear
Wear appropriate clothing to keep warm and dry outdoors, including hats and suitable footwear. Please bring your own head/earphones to use with your own device.
- Accessibility
The grounds at Standen are on a hillside. Please be aware some areas may become slippery when wet, expect uneven pathways and steps. Check our accessibility statement for full details. Hearing aids shouldn’t be affected. A limited amount of splitters will be available for use with your wired earphones to enable young children to enjoy the experience, guided by an adult.
- Other
All attendees will need to purchase a ticket to access the event. Non members will also need to pay normal admission to for the property. NT members enter for free. Please note the time on your ticket is your arrival time. You will be given a ticket on arrival with your allocated time to see the Father Christmas performance, which will give some time to explore before or after the performance. You may take your own route to get to Father Christmas but do make sure you reach Father Christmas 10 minutes before the performance time. When you buy a ticket you will unlock Spun Glass Theatre’s world of Betwixtmass. We’ll send you links for digital videos, stories, your special character with a back story and suggested costume items should you wish to dress up for your visit. Before you arrive you will be given instructions on how to download the free Echoes XYZ app and then use your own smart device to explore Betwixtmass, triggering different stories and sound experiences along the way. Although we will have a limited number of devices on site we cannot guarantee availability.
