Summer to autumn Arboretum tour at Dyffryn Gardens
Relish the turning of the seasons on a free summer to autumn arboretum tour with Head Arborist, Rory on Tuesday 24 September.
- Booking advisable
- Admission applies
Get to know nature better on this summer to autumn Arboretum tour.
Dyffryn Gardens' Head Arborist, Rory Ambrose will take you on an in-depth tour of the wild and rambling Dyffryn Arboretum, focusing on how the trees change with the seasons, the science behind those changes and how you can more easily spot signs of the season turning when you're out and about.
It's also a great opportunity to find out what it takes to look after a wooden area such as this, what jobs the team have to undertake to keep it healthy and thriving and what challenges they face, especially in the rapidly changing environment that climate change has caused.
Ground yourself in the nature around you and fully link up with shifting seasons during this immersive, informative, autumnal ramble.
This is a free tour (admission also applies) but we recommend booking a ticket to ensure your spot as tour numbers are limited at 20 participants. "Walk-ins" are also welcome on the day but we recommend reserving your space in advance to avoid disappointment. The tour starts at 11am and lasts for one hour.
