‘People, Proposition, Landscape’ showcase with Meadow Arts
Rediscover the Weir Garden this September with an art and activity showcase at The Weir Garden.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
In 2024, we’ve partnered with visual arts charity Meadow Arts to develop a creative programme that explores possibilities for the future of The Weir Garden.
Over the summer, Meadow Arts ran a series of artist-led workshops for visitors and local community groups at The Weir Garden, during which participants created drawings, poetry, sculptures and ceramics, all inspired by the landscape at The Weir and what nature means to them.
From Saturday 7 to Sunday 22 September, explore the gardens and discover a series of displays that highlight the activities that have taken place and showcase some of the creative art pieces that have been developed as part of this project. As you explore, we invite you to reflect on your own relationship with nature and consider what kind of experiences you’d like to have at The Weir Garden in the future.
On Saturday 14 September, we will also be hosting two public workshops with artists Harriet Carter and Chris Poolman. These workshops are free to take part in and do not require advance bookings. To find out more, visit the upcoming events page on our website.
