York Residents' Festival
Show proof of York residency for free entry this weekend.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
As part of the city wide initiative we're joining in and opening our doors for free to York residents. To get involved in the Visit York festival, please present a valid York Card, student card or identity card that proves York residency. If presenting an identity card, this must clearly state 'York' (e.g. driving licence or person's bus pass).
Learn about the history of the estate on the lower floor of the hall before heading upstairs to the art gallery to see 'The Botanical World of Mary Delany'.
Explore the garden and take a moment to relax in the Mediterranean garden, designed by Andy Sturgeon. The wilderness play area is a popular place to release some energy after a week at school.
Treat yourself to lunch in the restaurant and have a browse in the shop. Every penny spent at Beningbrough goes back into preserving this special place for years to come.
