As part of the National Parks Dark Skies Festival, we will be hosting a night of Stargazing with the Whitby Astronomical Society at our Ravenscar Visitor Centre. Visitors will be able to listen an illustrated talk in the visitor centre before venturing out to view the star-filled sky. Hot drinks and refreshments will be available to warm up. This promises to be an opportunity to experience Ravenscar in a completely different way. Fingers crossed for clear skies!

The basics

Call 0344 249 1895 This ticket includes Stargazing, hot drink and a cake. Both adults and children need a ticket.

Please meet at the Ravenscar Visitor Centre, follow directions for Ravenscar, YO13 0NE
- What to bring and wear
Please dress warmly and wear suitable outdoor footwear. Bring a torch or headtorch if you have one.

Ravenscar Visitor Centre is accessed via steps. Please see the access statement on the Accessibility page of the National Trust Yorkshire Coast Website.
- Other
This session is led by the Whitby Astronomical Society who will be providing some equipment on the night, if you wish to bring your own viewing equipment and a torch please feel free. Please note this event is weather dependent, in the case of cloudy skies there will be an indoor talk.
