Volunteering at Wenlock Edge

Volunteer speaks to visitors on Wenlock Edge

Join our team of dedicated and passionate volunteers based at Wenlock Edge. Our volunteers help conserve and enhance this important place for everyone to enjoy. We have volunteers in a number of roles undertaking a variety of tasks, from monitoring wildlife to habitat management. We are currently looking to recruit engagement volunteers to help us to share with our visitors why Wenlock Edge is special.

Engagement volunteer

What’s involved?

Help the ranger team to provide our visitors with experiences that move, teach and inspire.

You will support the ranger team to prepare for and help deliver events, guided walks, children’s activities and to develop interpretation. This role is quite flexible to suit your availability and interests, with activities taking place on weekends and in the week (activities tend to centre around the Spring and Summer, with the exception being our Halloween events).

You do not need any previous experience or knowledge of Wenlock Edge: you will be trained on the job. You just need to be friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about nature.

You can find out more about what our team get up to by checking our Facebook page and blog.

How to join in

Just click here to fill in an application form or email Kate Price, our Assistant Ranger, at kate.price@nationaltrust.org.uk

We’ll then be in touch to arrange a time and date to meet in person and to talk about volunteering here and the role in more detail. After that, we'll provide you with all the information you need to start volunteering. It's as easy as that!
