Going wild in Wightwick's woods

Outdoor play structure in Wightwick Manor woodland

Gather all of your energy this summer and come along to the Woodland Play here at Wightwick Manor & Gardens.

New Woodland Play

This year there is an extra incentive to explore the far reaches of our grounds - we have new natural woodland scramble equipment to discover deep in the woods.

Test your skills

Suitable for young and old alike (youngsters under supervision please!) test your balance on our log walkway, scramble over the wooden cobweb, see the woods from high and low on the chestnut seesaw and try out all the different ways to climb the tower.

Ask for directions at Visitor Reception, or see if you can find your own way, winding around the pools and heading up into the woods!

Other outdoor options

While you are up there, see if you can tick off some of your '50 things to do before you're 11¾' and then collect your stickers from Reception. Why not try:

  • No. 4 Build a den - who can make the sturdiest hideout?
  • No. 12 Have fun with sticks - can you show people the way to the new woodland tower?
  • No. 18 Create some wild art - make a square frame on the ground using sticks and crate some wild art using treasure from the woodland floor. Take a picture of your creation and share it with us on our Facebook page!
