Summer at Willington Dovecote

Willington Dovecot

Don't miss out on a rare chance to experience these stunning Tudor farm buildings and step back in time this summer.

Open on the last Sunday of each month from April to September inclusive, from 1 to 5 pm, with temporary toilet facilities. Chat to members of our volunteer team about John Gostwick and his successful work for Henry Vlll; admire the stylish stepped gables and the fantastic timber roofs; look at our displays and join in with a variety of activities.

Fun for all the family

We'll have special story-telling sessions, Tudor costumes to try on, and other activities for children during the Sunday open afternoons on 24 June, 29 July, 26 August and 30 September, when there will be light refreshments and organ music in the nearby Tudor church.

Guided tours

Our volunteer team will be offering guided tours of the buildings at 2pm and 3pm on Saturday afternoons: 23 June, 28 July and 25 August. Meet the tour guides at the Dovecote or call 01234 838278 to book your appointment.
