Christmas at Winchester City Mill: Escape the hustle and bustle of the high street this winter and step into this historic watermill. Decorated with a sparkling tree and pretty window displays, you’ll uncover all sorts of treats, from a new family bauble trail and festive baking days, to carol singing and flour milling. It's the perfect way to spend a day out with the family at Christmas. Every visit you make directly supports the Mill and helps to keep it open. The Mill is open 16 - 24 December, 10am-4pm (last entry 3:30pm) and closed 25 – 31 December.

There is no additional charge for any of our activities.

Christmas bauble trail

Sat 16 – Sun 24 December, 10am - 3pm

Our new daily bauble trail takes families on a festive adventure through the Mill. Clues inspired by the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' carol takes older children on a hunt for baubles and prizes. For little ones, there are elves to track down, sneakily hidden around the Mill.

Alder Valley Brass Christmas Carols

Saturday 16 December, 12am - 3pm

Alder Valley Brass is bringing the cheery sounds of Christmas to the Mill’s courtyard and a chance for everyone to join in with favourite carols. From little ones learning to talk to grown-ups who know the words off by heart, singing along to our brass band is the perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit. We’ll also have warming mince pies and mulled wine for the adults, plus warm apple juice for the children, to keep energy levels topped right up.
