Booking a visit to Lord Sackville's private garden

On select dates between April and October, the doors of the Orangery are thrown open to reveal the 26 acre garden, which visitors can explore. The garden changes with the seasons, so visitors can expect to see bluebells and blossom in spring. The fragrance of wisteria fills the air in early summer and the borders come alive with bright azaleas and rhododendrons. The colourful display continues into the summer months and visitors can also enjoy the scents of the herb garden. Then in autumn the trees turn shades of red and orange and there are often interesting types of fungi to spot.

The garden is open 11 days in 2025 between April and October. Tickets can be pre-booked online or purchased on the day, subject to availability. Tickets will be available to book in early 2025.
