The theatre is set within the picturesque cottage garden at Smallhythe Place, where guests can enjoy the surrounding Kent countryside.
The historic stage has welcomed many theatre legends including Sir John Gielgud, Sybil Thorndike, and Dame Eileen Atkins.
Wedding days at Smallhythe Place
The 17th-century theatre provides an intimate and unique venue for your wedding day. Couples can get married on stage and have exclusive use of the cottage garden, ideal for wedding photographs with guests.
Wedding ceremonies can be held on closed days in season, so couples can enjoy the exclusive use of the characterful theatre and the scenic views.
Although the venue is unable to cater a reception after the wedding, guests can enjoy celebratory drinks and canapés with friends and family in the cottage garden.
