Stop by the Orangery Café on your visit to Ham House and Garden for a range of delicious seasonal tasty treats and snacks, as well as hot and cold lunches. Enjoy views across the spectacular Kitchen Garden from tables outside the café or take a seat inside the historic Orangery. Visit our shop to find seasonal National Trust ranges for your home and garden, including plants, gifts, books and souvenirs. Our second-hand bookshop also has a range of books to browse.

The Orangery Café

From delicious scones and bakes to seasonal soups and coffees, there's a tasty treat for everyone at the café. Food is prepared fresh daily, using produce harvested from the Kitchen Garden. Whether you’re looking for a refreshing ice cream, a quick snack or longer lunch, our selection is available to eat in or take away.

When you order a hot drink and bring your reusable cup, we'll give you 25p off as a thank you for helping the environment.

From plot to plate

The historic Kitchen Garden is one of the most productive walled kitchen gardens in London. It provides the café with produce all year round, from pumpkins to peppers, and raspberries to redcurrants.

Please ask the team for more details or some recipe inspiration. All coffee grounds and takeaway cups from the café are composted and used in the garden.

Accessible crockery and cutlery

We have a selection of accessible cutlery and crockery on the green dresser opposite the till in the café, including knives, forks, spoons, cups and saucers. Please ask the team if you need any assistance.

The Piggery

On select days, our takeaway café in the shop courtyard will also serve sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice cream.

Allergen information

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

Always check when you visit

Visited before? We sometimes change our recipes to improve quality and flavour, including the ingredients. When you visit, please speak to one of our team to check the current allergen information for your favourite dish.

Thank you

Every cuppa or tasty treat you buy helps us to continue looking after places for everyone to enjoy.
